Pharmacological action
Pharmacotherapeutic group: immunostimulating agent. ATX Code: L03AX.
Pharmacological action: the drug is a means of etiotropic and immunostimulating therapy, has a mediated antiviral effect against influenza A and B viruses and other viruses that cause acute respiratory viral diseases. Bendazole induces the production of endogenous interferon in the body, has an immunomodulatory effect (normalizes the body's immune response). Enzymes whose production is induced by interferon in the cells of various organs inhibit the replication of viruses. Alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan (thymogen) is a synergist of the immunomodulating action of bendazole, normalizing the T-cell immunity. Ascorbic acid activates the humoral immunity, normalizes capillary permeability, thereby reducing inflammation, and exhibits antioxidant properties, neutralizing oxygen radicals that accompany the inflammatory process, and increases the body's resistance to infection.
Pharmacokinetics: when taken orally, the drug is completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The bioavailability of bendazole is about 80%, alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan - not more than 15%, ascorbic acid - up to 70%. Ascorbic acid is absorbed in the digestive tract (mainly in the jejunum). Communication with plasma proteins - 25%. TCmax after oral administration - 4 hours. It easily penetrates into white blood cells, platelets, and then into all tissues, penetrates the placenta. Gastrointestinal diseases (gastric and duodenal ulcer, intestinal motility disorders, helminthic invasion, giardiasis), the use of fresh vegetable and fruit juices, alkaline drinking reduce the binding of ascorbic acid in the intestines. Ascorbic acid is metabolized mainly in the liver to deoxy ascorbic acid, then to oxaloacetic and diketogulonic acids. It is excreted by the kidneys, through the intestines, with sweat, breast milk in unchanged form and in the form of metabolites. The biotransformation of bendazole in the blood are two conjugates resulting from the methylation and carboethoxylation of the imino group of the imidazole ring of bendazole: 1-methyl-2-benzylbenzimidazole and 1-carboethoxy-2-benzylbenzimidazole. Bendazole metabolites are excreted in the urine. Under the influence of peptidases, alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan is cleaved into L-glutamic acid and L-tryptophan, which are used by the body in protein synthesis.
Indications
prophylaxis and combination therapy of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in children from one year old.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to the drug, diabetes, pregnancy, children under 1 year old.
Caution: during breastfeeding, use is possible if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the baby.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Tsitovir-3 is contraindicated during pregnancy. During breastfeeding, use is possible if the intended benefit for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the baby.
Special instructions
for repeated courses, periodic monitoring of blood glucose concentration is recommended.
Rules for the preparation of the solution: add 40 ml of water (boiled, cooled to room temperature) to the bottle with powder, shake well. The contents should completely dissolve. The volume of solution after adding water is 50 ml.
Composition
Composition (per 1 ml of prepared solution):
Active substances: Alpha-glutamyl tryptophan (Sodium thymogen in terms of thymogen) 0.15 mg Ascorbic acid 12 mg Bendazole hydrochloride [Dibazole] 1.25 mg
Auxiliary : In the preparation without flavoring: Fructose 386.6 mg
In the preparation with flavoring: Fructose 386, 2 mg. Flavor identical to the natural Orange or Cranberry or Strawberry 0.4 mg.
Description: The powder is white or white with a yellow tint. An odorless aqueous solution or with a characteristic odor of orange or cranberry, or strawberry.
Dosage and administration
therapeutic and prophylactic regimens are identical. Inside 30 minutes before meals. For children aged 1 to 3 years - 2 ml of solution 3 times a day For children aged 3 to 6 years - 4 ml 3 times a day For children aged 6 to 10 years - 8 ml 3 times per day For children over the age of 10 years - 12 ml 3 times a day. The course of use is 4 days. The preventive course, if necessary, is repeated after 3-4 weeks.
Side effects
short-term decrease in blood pressure. Allergic reactions possible: urticaria. In these cases, the use of the drug is stopped and symptomatic treatment, antihistamines are prescribed.
Drug interaction
interaction of alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan with drugs not detected. Bendazole - prevents an increase in OPSS due to non-selective beta-blockers. Enhances the hypotensive effect of hypotensive and diuretic drugs. Phentolamine enhances the hypotensive effect of bendazole. Ascorbic acid - increases the concentration in the blood of benzylpenicillin and tetracyclines. Improves intestinal absorption of Fe preparations. Reduces the effectiveness of heparin and indirect anticoagulants. Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), oral contraceptives, fresh juices and alkaline drink reduce its absorption and absorption. With simultaneous use with ASA, urinary excretion of ascorbic acid increases and ASA excretion decreases. ASA reduces the absorption of ascorbic acid by about 30%. Ascorbic acid increases the risk of crystalluria in the treatment of short-acting salicylates and sulfanilamides, slows the excretion of acids by the kidneys, increases the excretion of drugs with an alkaline reaction (including alkaloids), and reduces the concentration of oral contraceptives in the blood. With simultaneous use, it reduces the chronotropic effect of isoprenaline. Reduces the therapeutic effect of antipsychotic drugs (antipsychotics) - phenothiazine derivatives, tubular reabsorption of amphetamine and tricyclic antidepressants. Barbiturates and primidone increase urinary excretion of ascorbic acid.
Overdose
overdose has not been reported.
