Troxerutin is a venotonic, angioprotective agent, a bioflavonoid.

Reduces capillary permeability and fragility, strengthens the vascular wall, improves microcirculation, and has an anti-edema effect.

Participates in redox processes, blocks hyaluronic acid of cell membranes.

Increases the density of the vascular wall, reduces the exudation of the liquid part of the plasma and diapedesis of blood cells.

Reduces inflammation in the vascular wall, limiting the adhesion of platelets to its surface.

The use of Troxerutin is possible both in the initial and in the late stages of the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, it is possible to use it as one of the components of complex treatment.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, the drug is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, Cmax in plasma is observed on average 2 hours after administration, the therapeutic plasma level is maintained for 8 hours. It is metabolized in the liver, partially excreted unchanged in urine and bile.
