Pharmacological action

Minisiston has an estrogen-progestogen, contraceptive effect. Levonorgestrel in combination with ethinyl estradiol blocks the release of releasing factors (luteinizing and follicle-stimulating) hypothalamus, inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotropic hormones, and thus inhibits ovulation increases the viscosity of mucus in the cervix, which makes it difficult for spermatozoa to enter the floor.
