pharmachologic effect

Combined preparation designed to replenish the calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency in the body.

Calcium participates in the formation of bone tissue, increases its density, participates in the mineralization of teeth, in the regulation of nerve conduction and muscle contractions, in maintaining the stability of cardiac activity, in the process of blood coagulation.

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) regulates the exchange of calcium and phosphorus in the body, increases the absorption of calcium in the intestine, promotes bone mineralization, the formation of the skeleton and teeth in children.

The drug reduces the production of parathyroid hormone, which is a stimulator of increased bone resorption.

Indications for use

- prevention of calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency in young children.

Contraindications for use

- hypersensitivity

- hypercalcemia

- hypercalciuria

- calcium nephrourolithiasis

- hypervitaminosis D

- decalcifying tumors (myeloma, bone metastases, sarcoidosis)

- osteoporosis due to immobilization

- active form of pulmonary tuberculosis

- deficiency of sucrase / isomaltase, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

With care: renal failure, benign granulomatosis, taking cardiac glycosides and thiazide diuretics.

Dosage regimen

The drug is taken orally during meals.

The dosage form is specially designed for young children under 3 years of age.

Preparation of suspension from powder:

Before preparing the suspension, shake the vial containing the powder well to separate the powder particles from the bottom and walls, add boiled and cooled water to 2/3 of the vial volume, shake thoroughly (for 1-2 minutes).

Add boiled water to a volume of 100 ml (up to the neck of the bottle) and shake again until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.

Shake the contents of the bottle before each use.

5 ml of the resulting suspension contains calcium carbonate in terms of elemental calcium - 200 mg, colecalciferol - 50 IU.

Children over the age of 1 year - 5-10 ml once a day

children under 1 year old - 5 ml of suspension 1 time per day, as recommended by a doctor.

Dosing of the drug for other age groups - in accordance with the doctor's recommendations.

The duration of the prophylaxis course is 1 month, a longer course is prescribed by the doctor.

Overdose

Symptoms: thirst, polyuria, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, weakness, headache, fainting, coma

with prolonged use - calcification of blood vessels and tissues.

Overdose laboratory parameters: hypercalciuria, hypercalcemia.

Treatment: discontinuation of the drug, see a doctor, calcium-restricted diet, rehydration, diuretics, glucocorticosteroids, in severe cases - hemodialysis.

Side effect

Allergic reactions.

When using the drug in the recommended doses, no other side effects have been identified.

If the recommended doses are exceeded or if other drugs containing calcium are taken at the same time, hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria (an increase in calcium in the blood and urine) may develop.

Possible side effects of vitamin D3 also include: decreased appetite, polyuria, constipation, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, increased blood pressure, arrhythmias, impaired renal function, exacerbation of the tuberculous process in the lungs.

Possible side effects of calcium carbonate also include: gastralgia, constipation or diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, secondary increased gastric secretion.
