Packaging
In a tube of 20 g of cream. In a pack of cardboard 1 tube complete with 3 applicators.
Pharmacological action
Lincosamide antibiotic for vaginal use. The mechanism of action of the drug is associated with a violation of intracellular protein synthesis in the microbial cell at the 50S level of the ribosome subunit.
Clindamycin has a wide spectrum of action, has a bacteriostatic effect, in higher concentrations against certain microorganisms - bactericidal. Active against microorganisms that cause bacterial vaginosis: Gardnerella vaginalis, Mobiluncus spp., Bacteroides spp., Mycoplasma hominis, Peptostreptococcus spp. Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida albicans are not sensitive to clindamycin.
Indications
Bacterial vaginosis caused by drug-sensitive microorganisms.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Clinical studies on the use of clindamycin in women in the first trimester of pregnancy have not been conducted, therefore, the use of clindacin in the first trimester of pregnancy is possible only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus. Use in the II and III trimesters of pregnancy is possible, since no adverse effect on the fetus has been detected.
It is not known whether clindamycin is excreted in human milk, so if it is necessary to prescribe clindacin during lactation, the potential benefits of its use for the mother and the possible risk for the baby should be compared.
Composition
5 g of cream (1 dose) of vaginal 2% contains: clinda itsina phosphate 100 mg.
Excipients: sodium benzoate, castor oil, 1,2-propylene glycol, polyethylene oxide (as an emulsifier).
Dosage and Administration
Recommended single dose is 100 mg of clindamycin (1 full applicator). The drug is administered intravaginally (using an applicator) 1 time / day before bedtime for 3-7 days.
Rules for using the applicator Remove the cap from the cream tube and screw the plastic applicator onto the threaded neck of the tube. Rolling the tube from the opposite end, squeeze the cream into the applicator. The applicator is full when its piston reaches the stop. Then you need to unscrew the applicator from the tube and wrap the cap. Lying on your back, you should horizontally insert the applicator into the vagina as far as possible, but so as not to cause discomfort. Slowly pressing the piston all the way, enter the cream into the vagina. Then carefully remove the applicator from the vagina and discard it.
Side effects
Possible development of allergic reactions, the appearance of irritation at the injection site, cervicitis, vaginitis, vulvovaginal candidiasis.
Drug Interaction
An antagonistic interaction was observed between clindamycin and erythromycin. There is cross-resistance between clindamycin and lincomycin.
Overdose
No overdose has been established with intravaginal use.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place at a temperature of no higher than 20 ° C.
Expiration
3 years.
