BioGaya is a probiotic containing Lactobacilli reuteri Protectis.

Lactobacilli reuteri Protectis maintain and regulate the physiological balance of intestinal microflora and the digestion process.

L. reuteri promotes the breakdown of lactose, while producing lactic and acetic acids and promoting the formation of the substance reuterin and other substances that have antagonistic activity against pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms in the digestive tract.

Thus, L. reuteri increases the natural defenses of the digestive system and creates favorable conditions for the formation of normal intestinal microbiocenosis.

The immunostimulating effect of L. reuteri is associated with the ability to activate the intestinal immune system as the body's first line of defense against infections.

L. reuteri are resistant to gastric juices and bile salts.

Indications

BioGaia drops / tablets are used to restore microflora with:

formation of intestinal microflora from the first days of life (drops)

normalization of intestinal microflora in infants with intestinal colic (drops)

bacterial and mycotic infections in premature newborns (drops)

inflammatory diseases of the digestive tract (drops / tablets)

treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection (drops / tablets)

therapy with antibiotics, cytostatics, corticosteroids, antifungal and antiviral drugs (drops / tablets)

for allergic conditions (including diathesis in children, atopic dermatitis) (drops / tablets)

intestinal disorders during adaptation (moving, starting attending kindergarten, school) (drops / tablets)

reduced immunity (drops / tablets).

BioGaia ORS is recommended to be used to replenish the loss of fluid and electrolytes that occur during vomiting, diarrhea, acetonemic syndrome, intoxication of any origin (fever, infectious diseases, food poisoning).
